Clark Kent loved being a journalist, it was a break from the fast paced life of being the face of Metropolis. He loved most of his co-workers and most of all he genuinely enjoyed writing the articles. Maybe he didn’t have Lois’ ambition but he certainly enjoyed what he did. There was only one part of the job he didn’t like, charity events.
They were boring and most people stood around avoiding interviews making the articles intensely boring. Normally they were given to new journalists - teaching them how to turn even the most boring things interesting- but Wayne charity events were only given to some of the best. Unfortunately, all of his interviews with Superman had made him one of the best.

Perfect bodies are a thing of myth. Models and celebrities pose for pictures just to become airbrushed and photoshopped. People take steroids and die in surgery just to get a bigger arse or some ribs removed. Meanwhile the media is always painting something as looking wrong, a stomach that isn’t flat enough or thighs that touch when walking. They don’t even bring up disfigured people at all, it’s easier to just pretend they don’t exist.
Or Alex Rider is insecure of all the scars on his body and Tom makes him feel better.
