“I still don’t understand why we’re going to Stockholm,” Jeremy replies grumpily. “You’re not even from Stockholm. I want to see your hometown.”
Linus sighs, not wanting to fight about this again. “My hometown is very small and boring. There’s nothing to do there. Stockholm is incredible, you’ll see.”
“It’s not like there’s much to do in Anchorage, but we spent last summer there,” Jeremy reminds him.
Linus laughs. “Jer, my hometown has less than 500 people. Anchorage has, what, 300k? You can’t compare them.”

“What the fuck do you mean you don’t have tickets? No, I can’t change the date! I’m at the airport right now Alex! I’m fifteen minutes from boarding!”
Alex, who sounds a little too nonchalant for someone who had somehow booked the wrong flight date, just sighs at him through the phone. Willy wishes he could reach through the screen and strangle him.

They settled on bar stools, watching Alex cook, and Kirby stirred his coffee quietly. Adam nudged him gently, “How did yesterday go?”
Kirby exhaled, frustrated, “Not great.”
Face darkening, Adam leaned forward, “Explain.”
“She just,” Kirby paused, trying to find the right words, “I don’t know if she doesn't fully get the gravity of the situation, how important this was to me, or what. I know she missed me, I missed her too, but I felt like he had a good chance, and I lost it. And she was all welcome back and smiles. I guess I just didn’t need that right off the bat.”
Alex hummed thoughtfully, “Explain it to her.”
Shaking his head, Adam cut in before Kirby could answer, “Nah, bro. She pulled this same shit during the playoffs. If she didn’t get it then, and she still hasn’t gotten it now, she probably never will.”

Biography: Chicago-based pop-punk band Odd Man Rush began in 2015, basing their quick-paced and emotive sound on the influence of masters of the genre like Simple Plan and the Hartforders. Built around singer Dylan Strome’s standout voice, the band was formed with bassist Alex DeBrincat and guitarist Nick Merkley; the trio was eventually joined by drummer Alex Nylander and rounded out by guitarist Clayton Keller. After YouTube videos and a demo circulated, the band released the six-song Late Nights EP in late 2016 and soon followed with full-length You Complete Me(ss) in early 2017. A covers album--Songs That Saved Us--was released in early 2018. A year later, the band released their second LP Champions on Pure Noise Records. The album would prove to be their breakout, reaching number 17 on the Billboard Top 200 and laying the foundation for two years of hard touring. In September 2019 the band released a five-song EP to raise money for each of the band members’ favorite charities. Their third LP is expected in late 2020. -N. William watches for a moment, standing with his bag over his shoulder. He knows Mitch Marner. He’s played against him before. He’s beaten Mitch before. But Mitch has beaten him before. If they play each other, it’s going to be a headline match. It doesn’t even matter if Mitch is a good tennis player, because William thinks that he’s an asshole.
Standing just behind Mitch is someone he’s never seen before. He’s wearing a linen suit, a checked shirt, no tie. His hair is neat, he’s clean shaven, and he’s wearing glasses. Everyone else is caught up in Mitch, but for a brief second, William thinks the guy is looking at him.
