This fic was previously titled “the winner takes it all” but after some consideration, I’ve decided to change it. It is now titled as is shown above.
Kirishima met Bakugo in high school, they were really really good friends, but Bakugo started to grow really distant at the end of the senior year and suddenly disappeared without a trace, not even a text goodbye.
It’s the start of a new year of college, a new season of hockey, and hopefully a fresh start.
But little does he know, Kirishima is in for the emotional roller coaster of his life this year.

The blonde snorts a sound of amusement. "You know any other routines for shits and giggles then?"
"If you're here for the Summer Solstice Recital, then I know every act, scene, routine sequence, and musical number."
"Huh." The blonde gets to his feet and steps closer. He tosses the left earbud in Izuku's direction. "Then dance, nerd."
Izuku catches it with a quick hand. A smile on his face and a quip on his tongue. "You gonna join me, pretty boy?"

U.A is prestigious boarding school known for developing some of the top dancers ever to grace the stage. It’s common that the top class in the second year dance course are expected to represent the school in the upcoming nationals , the most important competition of their school years. Meaning Class 2-A are going to have to be at their very best whilst juggling relationships, family drama, academics and dance. But with a lot of effort they might just be able to pull it off, and bring U.A to victory for the 6th year running.

He reads and annotates the books Tenya reccommends him, and Tenya listens to all of Katsuki's carefully curated study playlists (They're sorted by mood, genre, subject, and tempo). They scold each other for even thinking of overworking themselves, in their academic or heroics studies. They hold one another after either boy wakes up shaken by vivid memories, whether they be of an alley in Hosu or the basement of a bar in Kamino Ward. They argue, they trade insults back and forth, but they don't fight. Their personalities just so happen to compliment each other in a way Tenya hadn't even thought possible.
And yet, there's only one issue:
Class 1-A doesn't know. And no, not because either boy preferred to keep their relationship under wraps. The class just... doesn't know. You know, you'd think a group of future professional superheroes, society's "Best and Brightest," if you will... would be a little less dense.
(Or; a BakuIida reveal fic that precisely 1 (one) person asked for)
