“I need you to help me raise her,” said Aeon. “I found her on the street, and I don’t have any expertise with babies. I haven’t even been a baby before. So I called for a babysitter I knew I could trust.”
“I see,” said Marinette. She looked at the little sleeping infant. ‘Adorable’ would be an understatement. It looked incredibly soft, and its half-open mouth was covered with bubbles of spit. Black hair, couldn’t be more than five months old, already had some pretty significant eyelashes, seemed to have eaten well so far in life.
Then, “Why me?”
“Because you are the only one who can help me,” said Aeon. She looked, and sounded, serious.

Marinette gets recruited by Aeon Hill to babysit a five-month-old infant. Being profoundly in love already, Marinette agrees to help. However, as time goes on and she grows closer to Aeon, she learns that the superhero known as Uncanny Valley has some deeper motivations - and questions about what life can truly mean for her.
And Marinette struggles to answer those questions for her, but that doesn't mean she'll give up on trying.

As stressful as family can be at times, there are certain perks to it at times. Take for example, an escape from the horrors of a traitorous pack of friends.
After the final battle with Monarch, Marinette is almost alone. Monarch partnering with the United Injustice Brigade didn’t help her stress levels. Nor did Nivlax taking the Miraculouses for itself, nearly levelling Paris in the process. Her parents disappeared, presumably dead. When all was done, her friends still stood by their new ‘Everyday Ladybug’. When only Juleka and Alix stood by her, it was clear something had to give, either her sanity or personal life.
Enter her cousin, Jack Hallman. He managed to get Marinette out of the city before her ‘friends’ got her. Now she, Alix and Juleka are established in Parker’s City, guarding the Miraculouses under the watchful eyes of Jack’s alter ego, Saber Wolf, and his CrisisForce XL teammates.
But Jack might’ve overlooked one thing in letting them bunk in the CrisisForce Compound. Monarch might’ve been defeated for good, but the UIB aren’t. Before long, their latest plans give rise to a CrisisForce level threat, and it seems the Miraculouses could be dead centre of their evil ambitions…
