Season 11.
Negan and Daryl are on a mission led by Maggie. The goal: get supplies. After barely making it out of the subway tunnels, the group ends up in the woods, and right into an ambush.
Separated from the others, Negan and Daryl find themselves captured by the Reapers. Forced to their knees at gunpoint, Negan tells a lie to save them both.
Whether that lie actually saves them, or drags them deeper into danger, is hard to say. Either way, they have to stick to it. And the longer they play along, the harder it gets to tell where the lie ends and something real begins.

Summary
The Fifth Blight was beaten back by the heroes of Ferelden - King Alistair Therin, Warden Carys Mahariel, and Warden Martin of Highever. With the breaking of the Blight came the breaking of the fellowship - and some who survived wish they hadn't. Martin, warden no longer, finds himself exiled to Kirkwall.
Resigned to a fate of obscurity, Martin somehow finds unexpected notoriety in his exile... through a certain woman named Hawke.
This is a novelization of Dragon Age II. Expect moderate AU with extrapolation, clarification and some addition to both the story and lore of Dragon Age II in order to better tell its tale. Changes to the deep lore are minimal, but expect most events to play out differently than they did in game. Martin's origin is unique from any in Origins.

Kirkwall wasn’t really meant to be a new beginning but it was all the same. Marian Hawke came to Kirkwall as a refugee and worked until she could buy her way onto the Tethras expedition. Instead of coming home a hero, she came home to her brother leaving and her mother falling into her grief all over again. Hawke did what she always did, kept going.
A canon compliant narrative focused on Hawkes character and her relationship with Fenris from Act 2 onwards.

Kirkwall had never been kind to Hawke, and the night Anders attacked the Chantry remained the single worst night of his life.
The mage rebellion was meant to be better - was meant to be fighting for a future where mages weren’t broken and abused. It wasn’t meant to be filled with cowards, run by leaders unwilling to be bold.
It certainly wasn’t meant to be taken over by the Imperium.

The City of Kirkwall needed a Champion but as the crisis escalated, Garrett Hawke disappeared. Some whispered foul play, some whispered cowardice. No-one, not even his best friends, knew the truth.
With the Mage Rebellion in full swing and the Nevarran Accord shattered, Cassandra Pentaghast turned her eyes on the City of Chains and its missing hero. But the man she found at the end of her pursuit was hardly recognisable as the man he’d been - and certainly not able to lead the Inquisition.

But Hawke hadn’t reckoned on old friends and enemies in the city, hadn’t been prepared for the way his name would spread. All too soon, he is more a liability than an asset when it comes to keeping his family safe.
The Deep Roads expedition might be enough to protect his family, the money offering more security than Hawke’s presence. If he can survive those bloody tunnels for a second time. If he can keep out of Templar hands.

She knows there’s no real precedent for their chaste marriage. An apostate joining the Chantry in the first place is revolutionary. But Sebastian's enthusiasm makes her believe that maybe the Maker might actually let them have this.
Then comes the destruction of the Kirkwall Chantry and the invocation of the Right of Annulment.
Afterwards, nothing at all is certain.
