(This is under heavy revision so bear with me, I’m no longer uploading new chapters but revising the chapter beforehand. I’m currently done with chapter 8).
“Fated Calamities are fatal if not killed.” A certain being said. “If she’s not killed, the person they love shall suffer greatly.”
In the floor mirror, a lady with blue wavy hair is shown. Her delicate features and bright pink sapphire eyes shone against a young man with heterochromatic eyes.
“But Your Majesty,” Another being kneeled down. “You know what happens if we interfere with fated calamities.”
“I will not let my son suffer.”

“I don’t care if he hates me.” Light silver eyes narrowed at the mirror who is now showing a man holding a woman’s hand up as she dangles on a cliff. Then, it switches to a scene where blood rains down from the clouds, a man slaughtering every being in his path. “I have to prevent him from doing this again.”

He feels incomplete. A sham of the Yuma he was ‘supposed’ to be, and the way his soul cries out with familiarity, yet never gives him any answers, does not help. It’s like he’s going to shatter at any moment, to the point he cannot even stare at his own reflection for fear of what he’ll find there.
Perhaps, that is why he agreed to become Mihael’s adventuring partner; so he could follow in his father’s footsteps. He didn’t know what those were, or what he was hoping to find, but he did it anyway. Occasionally forcing Mihael into cold expeditions where they found nothing, instead of the ancient civilizations his boyfriend so craved.
But just because Yuma doesn’t remember, doesn’t mean no one does. And when he follows his father’s footsteps a little too closely— down a cliff that formed right beneath his feet — it then becomes a question of what is most important to Yuma. Escaping the strangle locale of nothing but blue that he and Mihael find themselves in, or… finally becoming whole again?
