“Ooo, really quickly, before I forget,” Marius continues, “On the last planet we were on, I met this guy who was exactly like you. Like, the literally male version of you.”
She stops scribbling on the page.
“You should’ve met him! You guys would’ve gotten along, I think. Or killed each other. Either way, it would’ve been entertaining!” He grins.
She forces herself to return it as best she can.
“Is that so?”...
“We haven’t tested it out yet either, but in the next few weeks, it should be ready for a test run! Think about all the things we could do in the future-past; we could go back and burn down that one planet we never got to! Oh, we could even…………”
She stops listening after that, instead zoning out towards the machine. It doesn’t look the safest; it looks like it might electrocute you, actually, but an idea is forming in her head. Not a good one, by any means, but an idea nonetheless.Series

It's been days of this. Toughing out the pain in his jaw to get a little substance in him. Drinking to dull it. Crying at night until he's too tired to do anything but sleep. Wash, rinse, repeat. He's tried dying, but it only seems to make matters worse."

Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, or POTS, is a disorder in which on standing from a sitting or laying position, the heart cannot return enough blood to maintain blood pressure. This can cause a range of symptoms, none of which are good, and all of which Jonny tends to ignore.
Jumping up during an emergency to navigate a recently formed asteroid field certainly counts as getting up from a laying position.
