And what is it Erskin wants, anyway? Does he even know? Chandrilan society shouldn't be much more appealing to him than Mon and Perrin’s marriage is, he's seen both of them at their cruellest and coldest; but part of him’s still yearning. At least with Chandrila he has Mon to bring him into it and lift and support and shield him and make it something that feels worth belonging to. She’s always at her least scathing and critical of Chandrila’s traditions and customs when she’s explaining some part of them to Erskin, as if knowing how much Erskin longs for Chandrila despite all its flaws makes her view it more kindly herself.
There’s the grain of a thought there. Something to come back to, perhaps.
An unexpected visit from ISB leads to a few revealing conversations.

No one told Orson he could not have the copper-haired woman in the spun silk Chandrilan gown, but it was clear enough from the moment he laid eyes on her that she was not for him.

Over the past few years, I’ve written many stories about Mon Mothma and Orson Krennic and now, I’m finally ready to share them with you.
A quick heads-up: some of these fanfics are intentionally out of character. Sometimes they hate each other, sometimes they fall in love. They’re friends, colleagues, parents, sparring partners. In some stories, there’s no politics, no Death Star, just quiet dinners with the Ersos.
I love every version of them, but it’s up to you to decide which ones speak to you the most.

The Empire has been described as many things. A savior. An oppressor. A peacekeeping force. A decree. Inescapable. Immovable. Crushing. Powerful.
But what the Empire truly is, at the end of the day, is what all authoritarian governments become: a disease. The disease begins by infecting one person. Then, that person passes the disease to another. While at first able to be ignored, over time the disease spreads from planet to planet until it has infected the entire galaxy. And it is not a disease that kills; but rather, a disease that kills the spirit, but keeps the body living.
What do you do with saviors? With oppressors? With an army to keep the peace, with governments of all forms? The answers are rather complicated.
But with an infectious disease, there is only one answer:
Total and complete eradication.The rise of the Rebellion, and moral fall of the Empire, as chronicled over five years from the eyes of four characters: Bodhi Rook, Leia Organa, Bail Organa, and Biggs Darklighter.
