Summary
The Arcturus project was a failure; a spectacular failure. The device could not be controlled; when it was activated, it overloaded. The third time it was activated, Sheppard and McKay almost died; the planet and most of its solar system were destroyed - and Atlantis had no new power source or energy weapon for their troubles.
They still needed more power for Atlantis - or at least more efficient use of power. Yet that did not stop the need for other work to be completed, including routine maintenance.
Nor did it prevent the necessity of working together. Yet can they? Radek is sure Rodney will find some way to blame him for what happened on Doranda. Rodney already knows Sheppard blames him. And Sheppard knows it wasn't exactly Rodney's fault; it was essentially an accident due to overconfidence, not deliberate malicious intent - but how can he work with Rodney, when every time he sees him, he sees him as he was in his nightmares - lying dead and burned after an accident gone wrong?
