After Dimitri had succesfully been restored from his Strigoi state, Rose was beyond ecstatic. However, as she was supposedly leaving the scene with the other Guardians, a group of vagabond Strigoi working together with humans, alchemists, Moroi and dhampirs broke into their car and killed everyone inside except for her.
They abducted Rose and tortured her for information about the restoration, of her bond with Lissa, so on and so forth. When it turned out futile and Rose was broken beyond return, the few alchemists in their group had concocted up an experimental tincture to block the healing magic of Spirit on Strigoi, sort of like a vaccine. As their ranks were scarce and therefore vulnerable, they decided to test it on Rose. Worse case scenario, she would die. Yet the Alchemists had hope she could become the first Spirit-Immune Strigoi if it worked.
The result?
Not Strigoi. Not quite Dhampir either. But a hybrid unlike anything the world had ever seen.Set in the timespace before Last Sacrifice. Some plot points are retellings from the series themselves, and are not owned by me. Enjoy!
