He starts making music with no greater purpose in mind than art itself but Ecthelion's life changes as the court recognises his talents and invites him to play for them. It's not easy as an outsider without noble blood. Though it's all worth it as he gets to meet people that he has admired his entire life and even earns the attention of someone unexpected.

This is a story about Ecthelion's life long before Gondolin and his perspective on events such as Alqalonde and the Crossing of the Helcaraxe. It is also the story of how he meets and falls in love with Glorfindel, a Vanyarin Prince.

Of course there are countless cameos and guest appearences of our faves; like Maedhros and Fingon, Turgon and Elenwe and many others.

When the Tirion chef Alassennë’s daughter surprises him with a pack of hungry Noldorin princes, necessity begets the invention of tacos.

Fëanor did not know how to explain the ill-defined uneasiness and the almost instinctual dislike he felt, how impossible it was to reconcile the impression he had gotten from the tapestry in Mandos to the reality of Daeron in person, in life. “He seems careless,” he said, because he did not know how else to explain.
“That is certainly not true,” said Nerdanel, “though I know well that I cannot expect you to take my word for it. It is long since you placed any trust in anyone’s judgment aside from your own, flawed though it is.”
Midwinter is meant to be a time of feasting and merriment, but Fëanor does not find it so, especially with Daeron of Doriath in attendance.

...everyone here seemed to think Daeron should return to them equally unchanged, the same merry minstrel he had been long ago before the Girdle had been breached. He was yet a minstrel, and he was often merry, but he had seen and done so much that so many here could never even imagine. He had come very close to death more than once, and yet survived. He did not care what others might think of him, really—except for a select few—but it would be tiresome to be always catching them off guard, and his love for one of the sons of Fëanor would catch many very much off guard, he knew.
Daeron settles back in among his own people, travels to Tirion--and meets Fëanor.

Growing up in Valinor at the noldorin court in Tirion Laurefindele has trouble adjusting to lies and schemes. An elusive supporter of Feanor sets up a plot to the kinslaying long years before it happens. Elenwe, crownprincess of the Vanyar and an influental figure at the noldorin court works with Laurefindele to uncover the conspirators before the worst comes to pass. Between all the sharp tongued courtiers and ruthless schemes Laurefindele falls for a gentle court musician who accompanies him way beyond the shores of Valinor and necessity brings them together on the ice.
A story about Glorfindel growing up as a vanyarin prince in Valinor who falls in love with Ecthelion, a musician at court. Strangers to one sided pining to friends to lovers. Spans from his youth in YT 1457 to YS 9 in Vinyamar. Through the years repetitive appearances from all different cousins and half-cousins, family feuds and lots of character developement.
A lot of Valinor lore, cities, culture, much of it canon compliant.
There is a part Glorfindel/maleOC but in all honesty, Glorthelion is endgame, and the best part? The whole thing is also available von Ecthelions PoV! Look at the Series!

Isilmë, queen of the warm coastal kingdom of Mîr-Aearen, granddaughter of Galadriel and daughter of the deceased Lauretuilö, finds herself in Valinor, thanks to Ulmo and the blessing of the Valar, to save Middle Earth from a new darkness coming from the far East.
She's an half-elf warrior, an artist and visionary but most importantly, always ready for a challenge and incredibly self-assured. Sometimes a little too much.
Valinor is not what she thought it would be and she finds herself with an art project concerning the theme of vices to complete (a game she's playing with her familiy who's finally reuniting with) and an unknown stalker who will undermine her every step of the way, even if it meant spreading pictures of the her, mildly lasciviously eating an ice cream, on every wall of Tirion.
