Most of the time, Varian's life is pretty uneventful. He goes to his classes, visits dad every few weekends, meets up with Eugene and Rapunzel whenever he can, and tries to spend the other small amount of free time he has with Hugo and Nuru (though they are usually just as occupied as he is). But now? He wishes it would go back to uneventful.
Varian is usually very good about safety. Hell everyone in his family is adamant about it so he has to be careful.
That's why one night when he's walking home was an extra late class, he is surprisingly prepared for being jumped. He wasn't too surprised he had to fight off some creep but it starts getting more difficult as said creep proves to be a little too devoted to Varian's life.

Summary
Cassandra returns to Corona to suprise Rapunzel for her twenty-fifth birthday party, but when Varian gives her a potion to render her invisible, she decides to have some fun, at Eugenes' expense.
The next morning things take a serious turn when an old former enemy is caught stealing Rapunzel's crown, only to confess that her husband had been killed and she stole the crown because it was the only way to save her kidnapped baby.
Once that problem is resolved, Cassandra wants to be a mother and proposes to Rapunzel and Eugene that Eugene gets her pregnant. Eugene is honored and agrees to sleep with Cassandra and get her pregnant.
Everything is going good until a tragic death turns Cassandra's world, and the world of Rapunzel and Eugene upside down.
