As Jean started to walk away, Armin said “Four.”
Jean just looked at him with a raised eyebrow.
“I get off at four today.”

Jean and Armin live in a big city and are just getting their lives started. Out of college, paying off debt, and lonely as ever. Jean likes to watch the game in a sports bar with his friends, Armin likes to play boardgames at home with Mikasa. Jean's body count is in the hundreds, and Armin's is zero. There's no way these two are right for each other...right?

Armin takes a deep breath, clears his throat lamely. “A couple of years…”
“My god, Armin, years?” Armin wants to die. “Is this just a crush or…my god, all those times we were together, you two were glued together, were you already…”
Armin has his eyes shut, all he can see is that moment, Mikasa had looked small on the beach, scribbling something in her book. The two boys were splashing around in the water, laughing so much he remembers his throat hurting from all the salt and the jokes. The night before Eren had fell asleep while holding Armin’s heart, and had never gave it back since.
( Or: Armin has been in love with Eren since a decade, i wonder what could happen when they move in together )

“Armin… is this your first time?”
Armin’s head returns to a neutral position, finally returning his eyes to Eren. He blinks a few times as the embarrassment floods into his pretty cheeks.
“U-um…” Armin looks down again, “Yeah…” He mutters, barely wishing for the admission to leave him.
“That’s okay,” Eren quickly assures, backing up just so Armin could see how serious he is. “I just wanted to make sure… I’ll be gentle,” Eren hums, watching Armin’s facial cues as he finally pushes his middle finger all the way into him.
Though, Eren can’t say he doesn’t like that he’s Armin’s first.
or, Armin reads Eren one of his favorite books, but the two end up distracted with each other and they confess their feelings for one another.

“Do you ever think about it?” Jean asked, relaxing into Armin's sofa, a whiskey in hand.
He hasn't touched wine in years.
Armin looked up at him, confused. A book was spread open with one hand, head resting on his other fist. When Jean met his eyes, he closed the book and put it on the coffee table. Next to it was a small glass of neat rum.
“Think about what?” Armin turned his full attention to him, crossing his arms over the low cushion.
Jean hesitated, debating on giving the conversation up entirely. He swirled the glass, the strong odour stinging his eyes.
“The…” he gulped down some whiskey, it burning as it slid down his throat, surprising a gag. “The thing in the barn. When we were cadets.”
