During the night before the next arena fight, broken and defeated from losing another life, Pyro takes his anger out on Nikos, firing arrows relentlessly.
In canon, Nikos walks away in the end, but what if one wrong move on Pyro's part causes the warrior to snap and attempts to end things for him right then and there?
What if... Sausage, out of desperation to not lose his friend, steps up to protect him? And what if the other Featherholders discover the fallout from all of this too?
OR
A rewrite of Pyro's crashout scene from episode 5, which leads to some much needed comfort/recovery and finally some communication between the Featherholders.

[Mind Games AU]
A retelling of Secret Life but Hermitcraft Gem world jumps and ends up in the game instead. After finding out the dark truth about these death loop matches and how dire this situation is for these alternate versions of her friends, she gains the help of the champions from previous seasons as they try to find a way out of these games.
At the same time, the Watchers' influence over both the players and the game has been restrained this season due to an unknown source fighting against them. Grian uses this opportunity, while also fighting against his own Watcher Instincts, to push back the Watchers' trickery before they claim another champion.

Real Life SMP was supposed to be the newest addition to the Life Games, but the Watchers were rushed. After losing badly against their fight with the Listeners last season, they desperately tried to regain their strength by starting a new game way too soon.
As a consequence, all the players were mere husks of their former selves, not yet recovered from the previous game. Still, a champion was declared in the end, but instead of being sent back to the void, a glitch occurred. Cleo is then teleported to one of the Watchers controlling the Life Games. And they have a little chat.
OR
After winning Real Life, Cleo talks with a Watcher and discovers just how much the past champions have suffered.

What if Ein changed one small detail about his plans? What if he wanted to ensure that even if he lost, Aaron would never get Aphmau back?
This story follows an alternate ending to Emerald Secret. A scenario of where Zane was tasked to take Aphmau and hide away while Ein and Aaron carried out their fight. A task that accidentally leads the two brainwashed friends to end up right into the hands of a certain demon, Michael, who arrived just in time to see what his pawn had been up to inside his lodge.
(This story will contain a rewrite of Emerald Secret's ending and include a rewrite of sorts for the rest of the seasons up to the end of When Angels Fall.)

An overarching plot that's a re-telling of the Life Series, but Hermitcraft (and Empires) is an alternate universe. When the Hermits & Emperors learn of this deadly situation their counterparts are going through, between the Watchers and the games, they try to find a way to get them all out.
"The Weakest Link | Secret Life" is where the main story officially starts (where Hermitcraft, Empires, & Life Series collide) with every previous season being prequels, so you don't need to read the previous season short stories to understand it.

A lone orc is travelling through a forest on the way to his next job and comes across a mage in distress, rushing to his rescue he then uses his strength to protect him and chase away the threat. Bringing the mage to a safe space he tends to his wounds while they share a moment where they talk about what is troubling the mage and the orc provides comforting words, a temporary bond formed by the fireside that would echo far into the future.

Summary
Everyone had a piece of them burried in Oakhurst. Most of them a corpse. Cleo had the doctor, Apo had Martyn, even M had the militia that he would visit. Those pieces were corpses, dead, with graves.
Scott had more than a corpse burried in there. Scott had thousands of years of violence that he shed and dug into the soil, still alive, bleeding and squirming. Or, at least, as alive as a vampire could be.

Or: Vampires can be put into hibernation by placing roses atop their coffins. After two hundred years, Scott decides is time to unburry his sins and help them heal. With that, Pyro is thrusted into a new era of modernity pulled by silver chains of expectation and treated as if his world hadn't been completely different half an hour ago.
