There he was, the lead act had called out that a man was struggling. Rumi could see him now, clutching desperately at his chest and wheezing as he went down.

Their third hasn’t been found years in but on some random blustering November day a man collapses during a set and a woman with patterns launches into action so fast they can’t even process what’s happening. Or that this demon seems to be channeling the honmoon into her medical care. Rumi just wants to keep doing her wildly traumatizing job why do these two women think she wants to join their K-pop band?

Summary
Which of course cycled back to her horrible stupid idiotic life. In no way should a human have been able to see her let alone address her. Then again, she supposed even as she fought to swallow the lodge in her throat, this particular human shouldn’t have been able to see the faceless that she’d been consuming either.
Or; the girls accidentally acquire a pet. The pet put herself here. She’s happy. Leave her alone.

Summary
But the texture of the couch under her sweating palms scratched violently at something that had always been loose in Rumi’s mind. Something in her fingers clung to the ease of hiding next to these two women. Something wanted to howl but was so deeply buried all it could do was bite at its own flesh. Frustration was clawing at the back of the empty hollow feeling. Normally couch time helped. Normally the laughter started to fill her up again. It gave Rumi something to hold onto until she wasn’t drowning.

Rumi had a process. Something that never failed to make her feel better. The girls were never suppose to know.

It’s been a while since that night, maybe a month, maybe longer – Zoey doesn’t like thinking about it. So much has changed. Rumi is her girlfriend now, for starters, something they’d talked over multiple times with Mira – and yet so much has stayed the same. Rumi still wears long sleeves and thick pants, Rumi still sleeps alone, Rumi still doesn’t instigate contact with them. But Zoey is patient, and so she doesn’t push. Instead, she sits with Rumi and asks her simple questions and brushes her hair on days when Rumi lets her.

Mira’s hands are on her back. They smell like chamomile. Slender fingers trace circles and patterns into the skin of her torso, firmly working up her spine and the taut blades of her shoulder. The angle is a little awkward, but it works well enough, and at one point Mira puts a hand on Rumi’s sternum and makes a little sound that says ‘move up for me’ and she lets herself be guided onto all fours with a whine. Her collar jingles a little with the motion.

in the aftermath of rumi's suicide attempt, rumi learns to trust zoey and mira with the rawest parts of herself, and in turn, they show her a good time.

Summary
The fangs take a little getting used to. The next few days are filled with lots of “Can we go to–” and “Did you guys see th–” before Rumi will bite herself, curse, and retreat to the bathroom to clean up, sometimes with Zoey in tow. Mira thinks Zoey’s got a bit of an obsession with the newly sharp edges of Rumi’s teeth, though she can’t say Rumi’s mouth has never intrigued her, either.
Or: Little by little, Zoey and Mira watch Rumi change (and little by little she stays the same).

From getting a cat to cover up a blue demon tiger to having all of their alt accounts (and relationship) exposed on Twitter because of a fact about gay turtles, things are never easy for the Honmoon's strongest little soldiers.

Summary
Alright, they've really done it now, a scandal to end all scandals. All it took was one tweet accidentally posted on main to turn what could have been a normal evening into complete chaos.
Who knew that a fact about gay turtles would be their undoing?
Everything would have been fine too, if it had just been their alt accounts that had been discovered, but no, the internet just had to uncover HUNTR/X's poorly hidden relationship with each other in the process. Their PR team was definitely going to have to be paid overtime for this one.
And the worst part of it all? They weren't actually even together yet.
