Yao Shi transmigrou de um mundo apocalíptico para o espaço interestelar, onde seu dono original foi abandonado no planeta T20, infestado de insetos.
O planeta fervilhava com inúmeras criaturas mutantes com grande capacidade reprodutiva. Os humanos eram infectados por parasitas com um único toque e se transformavam em monstros, cuspindo teias pela boca, desenvolvendo grandes olhos por todo o corpo, escamas no rosto ou incubando larvas sob a pele.
Diante dos pacientes infectados, os médicos e especialistas do Império não dispunham de um tratamento eficaz e só podiam esperar que as vítimas morressem.
Eles caíram no purgatório do desespero até que Yao Shi apareceu, e finalmente viram o alvorecer da esperança.
Yao Shi tinha a habilidade de curar pacientes alimentando-os com o que os infectava.
Após os pacientes infectados comerem as iguarias monstruosas preparadas por Yao Shi, seus tentáculos caíram, suas escamas desbotaram e seus olhos compostos desapareceram.Mais tarde, Yao Shi subiu ao pódio ao lado do homem corpulento e bonito por quem se apaixonara à primeira vista, para prestar a maior homenagem ao Império.

Eddie didn't survive just to witness another tragedy unfold right before his eyes, even if he's partly responsible for it.
It sucks, but how could he have known that Steve would actually listen to him? No one ever should listen to his advice outside of D&D and music. Especially not when it comes to relationships.
He wants to rip his hair out every time he's reminded of his speech, for being so insanely stupid. It was self-defence, sure, but in hindsight, it did more harm that the truth ever could've.

Steve has to prove a point, there's nothing wrong with boys kissing boys. Even if proving it requires him to kiss Eddie in front of everyone. He refuses to have any of his kids be homophobic.

El puts up mistletoe at the Christmas party hoping to see a Christmas tradition. She'd meant it for Hopper and Joyce, but when Steve and Eddie are caught under the mistletoe, she's confused why they don't have to kiss. Steve doesn't mind proving that boys can kiss under the mistletoe too.
