Summary
The pouring rain outside could not breach the tightly-shut windows of the study, but its chill permeated Neuvillette’s heart as he set down the yellowed pages he was holding. Most of his waking hours outside his work at the Court de Epiclese, be they late weeknights or entire weekends, were spent on drafting, compiling, arranging and editing the contents of the book he had devoted all of his free time towards.
And yet as he assembled the evidence in the literary trial of a man dead and gone for a hundred years, his judge’s instincts told him there was critical testimony missing.
Meropide Manor has a new resident, but will he discover the secrets of its previous occupant before history repeats itself? The interviews conducted during the investigation may unearth some answers... or raise more questions instead.

Summary
The victor stood motionless amidst the sand and dust, only looking up in response to the smattering of applause from the stands like he’d only just noticed there was an audience present. Amidst the general clatter of spectators getting up to leave or lingering to chat with acquaintances, Neuvillette remained in his seat as he watched the lone gladiator stride off with handlers trailing behind, all while the last words of the announcer faded into the air of the emptying Colosseum.
“... defeated by the tribute, Wriothesley!”
Neuvillette is the Court of Fontaine's youngest senator, seeking to sponsor a gladiator in the King's tournament this year as part of his plans to uncover more information about his heritage. An unexpected deed on the first day of the qualifying rounds catches his eye, but neither he nor the gladiator he signs a contract with have the faintest idea of how thoroughly their lives will be intertwined beyond their expectations. Meanwhile more powerful forces are poised to strike from behind the scenes, and the answers they seek may end up overturning everything they thought they knew.

He tapped a couple times on his phone screen to rewind the video, then held it up again. “Okay, I know you may have reservations about the uh, more acrobatic stuff, but we can modify the program no problem. This is just a fundraiser thing, there aren’t any mandatory performance elements like in a competition.”
Neuvillette did not seem reassured by this explanation. “And are hip thrusts included in this ‘more acrobatic stuff’ you speak of?”
Retired figure skater turned ice rink owner Wriothesley is looking for a partner to perform a pairs skating program at the rink's Valentine's Day fundraiser, and the hockey coach who despises him is his best option at the moment—or so he thinks. It just so happens Neuvillette has a favor to ask of him, so surely he'd be willing to help out in return, right?

There are some great quick-and-dirty guides to HTML on A03. This is not one of them - it is a comprehensive guide
It's now 2025, a decade later. A03 supports some new HTML and and we're all walking around reading fic on supercomputers that fit in a jean pocket. It was time to update.
The previous three chapters have been divided into smaller concepts. Each tag continues to have - at a minimum - a link to the w3schools page about it (so you can learn more), a code example, and the result of the code example. Most tags have their attributes, things like [src] or [title], listed and examples of how using the attributes modify the tags.
There's a chapter on Bad Ideas, including how some of the archive's default CSS is available to you to format your work (users can't turn that off by hiding a workskin!)
Oh. And I added a bunny army. You could learn how to add one too.

Summary
It has been just over a year since Neuvillette first met the Duke of Wright. To think a man has taken over his thoughts so easily is terrifying.
Wriothesley haunts Neuvillette, as much as he tries to deny it.
The handshake they’d shared had brought warmth with it. Neuvillette still remembers the strength in Wriothesley’s grip. The scar along that cheek as Wriothesley had smiled, welcoming Neuvillette’s family into his home – an element that should be unattractive. A characteristic that took Neuvillette fiercely by the throat.
- Wriothesley and Clorinde travel to the South of France after their grandmother's passing, inheriting her summer villa. While there to learn the ropes and settle the house, Wriothesley crosses paths with the Fontainebleau family, and finds himself wholly taken by a certain Marquis.

“I have heard,” Neuvillette says, each word cautiously ambling off his tongue, “of a game that humans play. A modification to the rules that might entice you to stay a while longer.”
Wriothesley waits, still wearing that smarmy grin, no doubt expecting Neuvillette to propose some obscure and complicated variant of chess.
“The game is typically played with cards,” Neuvillette continues, “but I believe it will work just as effectively as a motivator in this scenario. For each game you win, I shall remove one article of clothing.”
The way the grin slides straight off Wriothesley's face is immensely satisfying, as is the movement of his scarred throat as it violently bobs. “You will— sorry, what?”
During a friendly game of chess, Neuvillette gets his draconic wires crossed.

Summary
Wriothesley has a good thing going—he's managing his Fortress, exchanging letters and gifts with the Iudex, and he's making sure everything is running as it should, regardless of the passing of the prophecy, diplomats, or festivals. Of course the world decides that he needs a curveball thrown at him, overturning everything he knew with a simple dynamic switch that could kill him.
Luckily, there's an omega who cares about him. A lot.
