Summary

The bridge no longer raised his console until he placed both hands against the reader. Training programs omitted his scores from the team average. The kitchen synthesiser forgot the Earth settings he had bullied Hunk and Coran into creating. His preferred shower temperature vanished.

He looked at his comments anyway. Maybe it was boredom, some kind of circling apathy, a self-destructive impulse that drove him to rake his nails down his arms whenever he failed a run, if only to rid himself of the burning impotency under his skin. It didn’t matter.
