Summary
Fifteen years have passed since the Cordyceps fungus ravaged humanity, either killing or infecting 60% of the world’s population.
Stemming from a source of infected crops in South America, the cordyceps infection is a parasite that targets the host’s cerebral cortex. In humans, this causes complete loss of higher brain function which attributes to hyper-aggression and incapacity for rational thought. The virus is spread when infected blood contaminates a live host- i.e. biting or scratching. When an infected body dies, it releases spores which will also cause infection if breathed in.
The virus first reached the United States in September of 2013 in Austin, Texas. From there, the country was put on full lockdown within a month. Citizens were evacuated into quarantine zones that were placed under martial law. By the end of the year, the virus had spread nationwide.
All efforts by the World Health Organization to engineer a vaccine had failed.
Those who found a way to survive were the last of what was left of humanity.

Summary
After the sudden death of his mother, Reki Kyan and what remains of his family pack up and move down to his father's hometown - a small town in Canada. The world is cold and flat and colorless, until Reki meets a strange, scatterbrained boy with a bright smile, brighter hair, and a talent for something that didn't really exist in Okinawa - snowboarding.
Reki doesn't like the cold, so it's a good thing this Langa Hasegawa is so warm.

Summary
Reki had plans to spend all of his summer vacation with his boyfriend. But unfortunately Langa is being sent back to Canada to spend time with his grandmother and will be gone all summer. Expecting to be apart, they plan to spend a steamy night together until they find out that Reki is invited too. So the two boys go off to Canada and Langa discovers that the Skateboarding world existed there all along.

Summary
Tobio braced himself and stood, gathering Hinata’s warm body close. Hinata’s weight settled against him, strengthening the impression he always had at these times: that he was collecting a part of himself, severed by some weird circumstance. In these moments he couldn’t help feeling that Hinata belonged to him, and as long as he didn’t talk about the impression out loud it harmed no one. As it was Hinata mumbled a little, curling into him the way he’d anticipated.
Without a word he carried Hinata to Hinata’s cluttered bedroom and laid him in bed, wrestling blankets out from under him to cover him with. Hinata woke, then, a little, but only to blink at him sleepily and mumble something that sounded like thanks. He turned away, and Tobio returned to his own bedroom, turning off all the lights on the way. That restlessness from earlier threatened to rise up and strangle him.
Living with Hinata was nice—but only most of the time. Only when he didn’t feel like this.
