For a moment, Tony just stood there, frozen, his gaze transfixed on the mess he had made, standing there as if he was afraid to move. The absurdity of the situation made Tony want to laugh but instead, he felt his throat tightening up a different sensation taking hold.
God, he was actually crying.
The realisation hit him slowly — he never cried and definitely not over something as stupid as spilt milk.
Or; Tony has been overworking himself in the lab and in a sleep-deprived state manages to spill some milk. But instead of cleaning it up, he ends up crying in front of a shocked Steve who has never seen Tony cry before.
