This was part of a whole story I wanted to write about Tommy running away from a extremely neglectful Sbi and joins a circus just cause he met Tubbo who was a retired clown at said circus and offered a loving family. Basically Jschlatt, who is Tubbo’s father, built a circus and gathered up the towns “freaks” to make nothing short of a freak show. Tommy isn’t considered a “freak” but is scarily good a gymnastics so Jschlatt is like “okay time to adopt another kid” It’s basically like The Greatest Showman but with a shit ton more of angst.

Basically I need to practice on my writing more and what better way than to write about people cuddling. This is a comfort fic for me but I will most likely update this book a bit because my other stories are taking forever to write. Also anything in this book that has to do with minors or people who don’t like being shipped is STRICTLY PLATONIC. You should know the rules by now when it comes to my writing.

And like a flash, it all came rushing back to him. That final year on the Hail Mary. Long-healed burns tearing like paper, scars splitting in agonizing bursts. Losing more blood than his body could afford.
Scurvy.
No. It couldn’t be. That’s what the nutrient slurry was for, and Simon had been drinking one every morning!Right?
Oh god.
“Simon?” Grace started, voice wary. “You have been drinking the slurry, right?”

“I’m sorry, please don’t stop, I’ll be better, I promise,” Simon gasps as he shakes his head, gripping Grace’s shirt as his words rattle around his head so harshly they come tumbling out before he can think to stop them. “I’ll be good, I swear.”
“Hey, hey, shh,” a gentle voice washes over his concern, eroding it away bit by bit as hands cup his face. “I gotcha, I’m right here, Flower, I promise.”
As gentle lips return to his quivering ones, Simon’s eyes focus back in on the man over him, guiding him back to the present.

Grace guides Simon through riding him for the first time while talking him through it. Slow and gentle as opposed to the quick and rough treatment he had grown used to.

Grace and Rocky pick up Simon pretty early on in their multi year trip to Erid, and the additional human dwindles the food supply earlier than Grace had prepared himself for.
Grace starts rationing meals to make sure Simon gets enough to eat, neglecting his own health along the way.
Simon fears he notices too late.

Simon was, as usual, hard at work in the garden. Ryland had known that--Simon had told him that morning, after bringing him breakfast and kissing him on the cheek and making Ryland promise not to spend all day at his desk. The greenhouse was also kept more humid than the rest of the biodome. Ryland also knew this--the point of the greenhouse was to give the plants the best possible environment to grow while letting the rest of the biodome stay at a comfortable temperature and humidity for the two humans. The xenonite walls trapped heat and moisture inside, giving the plants inside the best shot at sprouting. Ryland knew all of this, very well, in fact, but knowing was not nearly enough to prepare Ryland for the sight outside the kitchen window.
aka: ryland gets so turned on by seeing Simon work that he needs to get fucked right there in the garden
