Summary
In which I rewrite "The Majiri's Book of Etiquette and Manual of Politeness" based on what we actually know about Majiri etiquette and values.
I'm also taking inspiration from the real-life "Eleanor Roosevelt's Book of Common Sense Etiquette", because I like the way she structures the chapters. The book starts by zooming in on just the family unit at home, and slowly pans out to explain how one should act in their wider community and abroad, before moving on to less common occasions.

How long do each of Palia's sentient species actually live? We don't know the age of any of the characters, meaning we can't extrapolate from their age to how old the oldest members of their species would be, but there are still a number of hints given to us in the game.

Summary
Gender equality seems to be a lot better in Palia than it is in many places on Earth. This is the case from a lore perspective, but also from a development perspective; in Palia women seem to be equal to men in every way we can see, and the developers are doing their female characters justice.
As a note, this is the first time I'm really analysing and thinking about gender dynamics and equality in media. It might be done a bit clumsily, and it might not be exactly your opinion, but just so you know: that's not a reason to leave hate comments.
Notice: In the "Leta, Sabine and Taylin" section there's a bit of discussion about past deaths and the causes of those deaths, with no details. The same section also contains major spoilers for patch 0.201. If you don't want to read either of those, I recommend skipping ahead to the "The positives" section.

Summary
Similar to my analysis series, but for the books we find in the world of Palia. The analysis series is not one where I make strong decisions about which theory is the absolute truth, but here I'm taking a lot more creative liberty to build the world as I like it.
Like with the analyses, I love hearing suggestions for new books I could do! The only ones I'm giving a hard no to are Bonlin Amepongo's nonsense entomology book, and the juggling books that you find all over the place.

Wild's pretty sure that red is considered a feminine color. The whole masculine versus feminine colors thing still confuses him. He doesn’t understand how it’s decided whether colors are masculine or feminine.
Wild thinks it might be because Gerudos so often have red hair, and Gerudos are always women, but he doesn’t know.

Summary
Link wakes up in a forest that is not one he knows, to the sound of someone humming a peaceful tune that he’d only ever heard howled. He sits bolt upright, eyes wide, only to feel a sharp pain in his side.
“Careful now,” says a nearby voice. The voice has a sharp, grating edge to it, and he almost thinks he recognizes it. “You’re still injured.”
He jolts, looking around for the source of the voice, and sees a tall figure, shrouded in the shadows cast by the trees.

Twilight wakes up in a forest he doesn't know, with an injury he doesn't remember getting, being tended to by a one eyed stranger that's a lot more familiar than he initially thought. Neither of them seem to know how or why they're in this strange, new Hyrule, but Twilight's determined to find out. And if he and his not-yet-dead mentor bond along the way, then that's just how it goes. The two of them are heroes, after all. Nothing can stop them.
But something isn't quite right.
