Summary
Link isn't entirely sure what's going on. She woke up in a glowing cave with only strange animals, monsters, and a creepy old man as company on the outside. And that's not even getting into the weird voice in her head telling her to save Hyrule. How, exactly, is she supposed to save everyone when she doesn't even remember what a pepper is? This is...gonna be a long life, isn't it? And can someone come get their grandpa? This old man is really starting to freak Link out!
In which the amnesiac is told that the Big Bad killed her 100 years ago and she responds a little more realistically than speed running towards it.

He had become stiff in the near total darkness. After a deep breath he climbed into the hole.
It's fine, it's just a hole. You're okay, everything's fine. He mentally told himself as he focused on keeping his breathing steady.

It was…strange, to say the least, to see the wolf again. However, the way they held themselves this time was different. This time, their eyes were much clearer—their build much darker, even more so than the familiar gray wolf Link once remembered.
His teeth were sharper, too.
That much was apparent once Link went to hug the wolf openly, aiming for a friendly embrace. But instead of the warm welcome that Link had grown to expect, sharp teeth bared deep into his airway, a growl vibrating lowly into his vulnerable jugular.

He woke up a 6-year-old in a world 112 years older than him, where the Calamity had already hit and then recently been defeated... by himself? He didn't know what happened, or how, or why. Luckily, he had eight heroes with weird nicknames on his side, there to help him figure out and fix whatever was going on, one age at a time—and gradually heal his childhood wounds in the process.

“I’m in a time loop,” Link calmly and quietly starts. Not calmly Twilight realizes, Link’s mind recoils at the mere mention of it. However, some part of him is so innately exhausted that it’s numb at the concept. “Upon either my own death or Gannon's I return in time. Over time the curse has strengthened, making the time loops more and more unhinged. The circumstances of my awakening are different every time, but are rarely fortunate. No one’s been able to so much as notice the curse, but I think it’s safe to say it’s evolved to carry a very potent curse of misfortune. There’s more to the curse, but it’s powerful and inconsistent enough it’s hard to pin down with a simple name.”
