Kings crave power. If you're searching for them, go on your merry way. We do not speak of them here. It's not about power.
But what about the Queens and the ones who will become Queens (the Princesses) ? What makes a ruler, well, a ruler ? Wisdom, of course. They've got wisdom. And like courage, it comes in many shapes.

Summary
Dogs were once wolves. Transformed over time by heavy Hylian hands, domestication blunted their fangs and soothed their wild nature. They became docile, and unwilling to speak out. Wild wasn't a dog, but that didn't mean the metaphor affected him any less. After a lifetime of servitude and silence, it was only natural that his sharp edges had been smoothed, his spirit dimmed.
Eight other heroes won't change his life so quick, but they can certainly nudge him in the right direction.
Or, another chain meets Wild fic, but Wild is much less 'wild'.

Summary
After the battle with the Calamity, Link feels directionless and lost. There's no more princess to save and no land to protect. Visiting the Temple of Time was supposed to be a distraction, but he gets more than what he bargained for and in the end he supposes that it's a good thing.
Or, Hylia feels bad for what she's put poor Wild through and attempts to fix it. Good thing her heroes are so stubborn.

Summary
Legend and Wind pick up two secret stones from below the castle and fall thousands of years into the past. Wild and Flora must find the two while processing their new surroundings, abilities, friends, and foes. Two dragons soar above, guiding them whenever they feel lost. What will they do and how long will it take to find the missing heroes with the help of the chain and the resident hero's friends?
OR
Wind and Legend become sages, Wild and Flora save the kingdom with the chain and the sages. This will follow TotK's story line pretty closely, hang on for the long fic this will be :D

The Guardians were corrupted by Malice, the Divine Beasts and their brave Champions fell. So the Age of Burning Fields began while a dead hero lay entombed in the Shrine of Resurrection for a hundred years. Meanwhile, across time, previous Heroes are gathering. Something or someone had called them out of retirement.AKA: the events of Breath of the Wild but the Chain is there and Wild is 12

A classic "Wild reunites with the Chain" fic, but with a twist. What if the Chain showed up a few minutes before the opening of totk? And what if Wild was the one sent to the past instead of Zelda?

Usually we have Sky with us and it’s easier to explain, but we went off on our own to ask some questions and of course somehow ended up bumping into you.” He sighed, twisting a ring on his finger. “I’m Link. This,” he jabbed a thumb at Four, “is Link. You are Link. And we have six other Links back at the inn.”Basically the chain meets Wild (original I know) but its really dysfunctional and Wild is going through it (so is everyone else).

Summary
When the Calamity struck, the world seemed to have ended. 100 years later… well, the world still looks like shit, but it’s getting somewhat better.
Aryll has managed to bargain with the Deku Tree to remain a protector of the Hero, binding her body and soul to remain tethered and ageless until the Calamity is vanquished. If she knew he’d take his sweet time waking from his power nap, she would have thought about this a few seconds longer. Suffice it to say that when he eventually did wake up, she was relieved, shocked, and had a hundred year old bone to pick.
AKA: What if Aryll survived the Calamity, struck a deal with the Deku Tree, and lived to help Wild/botw Link with his journey? Also, a crazy looking wolf wants to be friends with them.

In a new world, Dametrius (Fierce Deity) is faced with modern day problems and conflicts when it comes to all his sons. His sons, the heroes of old, born to him to be given the opportunity to grow up in the way they didn't have the chance to. Though things are different and the boys don't have the memories of their previous life, things of the past still find a way to cause chaos. Doesn't help that Dametrius now works for King Rauru and Queen Sonia as a mercenary and it puts his family as whole in danger.
Follows directly after 'A Deity's Son' and follows points of what happened in that story.

Intertwining lights of Gold and Sheikah Blue, forming wings at her back as she jumped. Invisible to her, but shining like a star to anyone with Courage in their veins.
Falling until the last moment and whipping out a piece of fabric that was very obviously unnecessary. She turned and started to bound over to the heroes she had helped on their way.
None of the eight recognized her until she got closer.
Legend gasped, Sky shrieked, and Wind looked like he was going to faint. Time stood stunned, even him blown away by the appearance, Hyrule took in a sharp and short breath, Four looked like they were going to scream and Wars eyes widened until they couldn't anymore. Twilight actually started shaking from what seemed to be disbelief and possibly excitement.
"Well, well, well, Heroes! Looks like we meet again!"
