Summary
Sirius Black has two problems that he needs to get over.
One is his gay crisis over Remus Lupin, which he tries really hard to hide (but fails miserably at). The other one is getting through school unbothered by his family, eventhough he quickly finds out life doesn't work that way.
Love, scars, flushed faces, and tear stains. Are these things positive enough to outweigh the bad, the trauma, and fear of rejection?

"So, maybe you've found your home here in Gotham. At least it's not that far, compared to Kansas." Bruce's voice is smooth and steady, his tone low.
It's hard to keep a straight face at that.
Clark's lips curve into a fond smile as he chuckles and shakes his head, leaning back against his seat, a hand rubbing across the nape of his neck.
"Yeah. Maybe I have. The coffee's great here. And the company is really nice." Clark offers a smile as he meets Bruce's eyes, holding his gaze for a beat too long before returning it to his pie.
He doesn't miss the way Bruce's heart rate stutters at his comment.

Or, Clark Kent can't do one night stands, and Bruce is just his usual human disaster.(This story officially ends at Chapter 5.
