    Summary

    A whisper. A well. A warning. A welcome.

Alastor is not particularly popular within his village, his oddities and his solitude working in tandem to drive others away. When he stumbles upon an ancient, forgotten well in a clearing bare of life, he does not think much of it.

    Until the dreams start.

In his dreams, Alastor can taste starlight. He cannot escape the sensation of feathers and scales, something altogether inhuman curling around his body. He’s not entirely sure he wants to. When a stranger shows his face in the village, the wind parting around his pale features and carrying the rustle of the invitation Alastor’s dreamt of, how can he do anything but follow? He has never been a particularly religious man.

But perhaps that is due to his lack of somebody worthy to worship.

Or: Alastor finds and releases a long-sealed cursed spirit and says 'would'.

    Summary

Extermination Day is over and things couldn't be better! The hotel is rebuilt, bigger and better than ever, it's been proven that redemption is possible, and for the first time in months, sinners are flocking to the Hazbin Hotel doors.

But not everyone is doing well. Following his battle with Adam, Alastor finds himself infected with holy power that not only causes him immense amounts of pain, but prevents him from using his demonic abilities. Both injured and unable to fully protect himself, he scrambles to keep his enemies off his back as he searches for a way out of his predicament.

Lucifer, on the other hand, is rekindling his relationship with Charlie. He's doing his best, but years of disconnect leave him fumbling as he gets to know his daughter and strives to prove that he believes in her dream. However, having isolated himself for a millennia, it puts him in a precarious situation as he's thrust back into Hell's politics and all the complexities that come with it.

In a mutually beneficial agreement, Lucifer and Alastor pretend to be in a relationship in a slapstick attempt to solve both of their problems.

And who knows what chaos will come about as their feelings take root...

    *updates tues/thurs*

Lucifer Morningstar knows how to perform.

It’s his job--on screen, on stage, in front of flashing cameras and hungry crowds. Charming, effortless, untouchable. He’s perfected the illusion.

Alastor Hartfelt doesn’t believe in illusions.

Assigned as Lucifer’s new bodyguard, he’s precise, controlled, and entirely unimpressed by fame, fortune, or carefully curated personas. His job is simple: keep Lucifer safe.

Lucifer’s job is to make that as difficult as possible.

Between press tours, crowded events, and a world that watches his every move, Lucifer finds himself under a different kind of scrutiny--one that doesn’t care for performance, only truth.

And somewhere between tension, proximity, and lines that shouldn’t be crossed--

    something slips.

(or: a celebrity / bodyguard radioapple AU where the line between protection and possession gets… complicated.)

They say the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb. Meaning bonds formed by choice are stronger than those of blood.

Oh, how true Lucifer knew that was.
