Seven years ago, Viktor walked out of his life – and Jayce was convinced it was his fault. He must have been a bad friend or partner if Viktor could leave so suddenly. And now that Viktor is back, he seems not to care about Jayce at all.
Seven years ago, Viktor walked out of the life of the only person he’d never wanted to hurt. He thought it was for the best, in case he couldn’t make it back. But now, he wants to see if there’s anything left besides ruins of his old life – if he can build something good with this second chance.
“I… I don’t have the right to ask for your forgiveness, but I’d like to explain myself if you’d be willing to listen. Please.”
“You think you can explain?” Jayce asks, his voice sharp and irritated. Right, Viktor deserves that. He deserves worse.
“I’d like to try, yes,” he replies. “Privately.” Then, again, he adds, “Please.” He’s never asked anything other than practical things, like ‘hand me this or that’. Where he comes from please isn’t something that carries much weight. In his life, please doesn’t often work.
Maybe Jayce knows this because, after a long breath, he asks, “Where and when?” -

Summary
On their way back to Erid, Rocky and Grace discover a mysterious box. Upon opening it, the two discover some strange changes. Well, perhaps way more than strange.
Rocky finds a new marking on his arm similar to Grace's scar, and Grace finds markings similar to Rocky's on his arms and legs.
Rocky begins to dream and can easily wake from sleep, and Grace can stay up for much longer than a normal human should.
Grace starts seeing sound when it's too dark to properly see, and Rocky starts seeing pops of colour in his sound vision.
Neither can understand what's happening to them and how they're seemingly linked together, but they know there's nothing in the world that could tear them apart.
(TLDR: This fic will include almost everyone's favourite things! Rocky learns about how Grace got on the Hail Mary (Including Rocky witnessing the memory of Grace being sent on the Hail Mary)!
