Summary
After their stressful midterm exams class 1-A decides to spend their evening by unwinding a little. By that they mean summoning an ancient-ass demon in the middle of their dorm's kitchen.. Just for funsies.
Granted, they don't know that demons exist and anyways, it's Kaminari's fault for suggesting the idea, right?
OR: an excuse for me to ramble about summoning rituals through Midoriya – a topic that I was really interested in for a short time. This is a VERY OLD one-shot that I wrote 3 years ago, so the writing doesn’t meet my current standards. But I decided to polish this up and post it anyways in case some people would enjoy it!

The snow is soft and encourages their galloping through the forest. Deeper, colder, further away from the blazing fires and tiring heat. Come! There's freedom and peace over here, the only things you ever wished for! No sound, no footprints, no-one. Calm and peace. All you ever wanted.
Joy fills and warms their chest, the cold freezes their fingers.
Warm laughs escape their lips, but the freezing cold turns them blue.They stop.

In a forest forgotten to time, where the magic floating through air was as dense as the trees, a single cabin sat. The witch who lived there was as magic as the forest around him, forced to live as an outcast alongside his wolf familiar, whose eyes were as green as his own. In the deepest grasp of winter, hidden from view, the patron spirit of winter drifted. He did his job infallibly, bringing ice and snow and death and destruction to the land each year. To keep the storms at bay, he kept moving, never settling, never lingering. But, every so often, a tug on his magic drew him to a forest forgotten to time, where the magic felt like a hug from a forgotten friend.
One season, Jack finds the forest suddenly occupied by a witch and his familiar, who – for the first time in his memory – is able to see him. When the bite of winter grows too strong for the witch, Jack is drawn in to help by forces he doesn’t fully understand, changing the course of both of their lives.
Some world-building, some snowballs, some annoyed Toothless, some smut, some happily ever after.
