Yet, that didn’t matter, as Dick was legally under Bruce’s care, and if Bruce was saying that Dick would be among the king’s gifts, then Dick would be among the king’s gifts. Still, he felt sick knowing that he was worth noting more than just one more treasure to add to a tribute.
