"Hmmm." She starts and leans back, "And you check it before you call?"
Eddie shrugs, "Yeah, I mean if he's busy I can just text him—" and he looks at the phone and sees his own house again and grins, the little dots moving a little bit, "But he's up and home so we're good."

Buck hadn’t expected to end up in a disastrous accident when he boarded a train - the Pacific Surfliner - for what should have been a relaxing trip down the coast to enjoy some beautiful scenery and just relax, but if he had - and maybe he should have, considering the way bad luck and trouble seemed to follow him - he’d have expected something normal, you know, like a derailment.

“You know,” Eddie begins, running his fingers through Buck’s damp, frizzy curls, “when I booked this cabin for the weekend, I had plans for us to fuck real nasty by the fire.”
Buck laughs—an ugly, congested noise that sounds like it hurts when it gets caught in his chest—and tips his head back to meet Eddie’s gaze in the low light of the blazing fire. His big blue eyes are puffy and his cheeks are red, hot by the fire and chapped by the wind; he looks like a kid, almost, sitting on the floor and wrapped tight in a large, black fleece blanket with nothing beneath except a pair of boxers and fuzzy socks.

Summary
In the heat of the moment, he didn’t blame his brain for conjuring thoughts of Eddie grinding his hot, sweaty body down against Buck’s, pressing him into the couch cushions, sucking a mark on his neck. Maybe whispering some shit into his ear that made Buck’s toes curl. Buck couldn’t be held responsible for whatever his mind supplied for him in that state. He wasn’t even really thinking about it, more like watching it play back on a screen behind his eyelids. That was all it took to push him over the edge.
Buck has a sex dream about Eddie, which is entirely not his fault. Everything that happens afterwards might be.
