Summary
Ambas as possibilidades eram perturbadoramente plausíveis.
Ele certamente pensou.

Summary
13 February, 1610. All that in which I have long suffered has not a thing commensurate to the pain which has been wrought upon me these past days. As this winter has descended upon us, the people of Jamestown have called their trials an appraisal by the Lord. Yet I have awoken to-day and now know better. God has abandoned me.
When Jamestown starves, so too does Arthur's newfound child. He does not do very well in coping with the outcome.

Summary
Light is seated beside him in the helicopter.
His gaze is fixed on the black notebook in his hands. His grip is tight—too tight.
The notebook taken from Higuchi.
L reaches before the thought finishes forming. His hand snaps out and wrenches the notebook from Light’s grasp.
Light collapses. Not violently. Not suddenly. His body simply gives way, as though something essential has been pulled out of him.
