Vash's voice crackles out of a small speaker attached to the front of his tank, mirth gracing his features as Knives raises a metaphorical(and literal) eyebrow in return.
"I didn't stuff you anywhere, you even get a nice view of the city."

Knives and Legato lose the Vash plush, Knives asks the real Vash to track it(via psychic powers)(the wildest AU i've likely written to date, ft. vash plush, both versions of elendira, and other weird ass shit that spiraled into an au that I want to write multiple works for)

Sabo shifts, a subtle slide of his weight from one leg to the other. He’s anxious, uncertain, trying not to show it. Ready to bolt at the slightest surprise, whether that’s a thug jumping them in the trash heaps or a tiger leaping out of the trees.
“You don’t have to stay,” Ace tells him, dully, the words coming out in a fog. He doesn’t need to make Sabo wait with him. He doesn’t. He’s spent ten years missing his first brother, but Ace has made do, and he isn’t about to force someone to stick around if they don’t know him, don’t have any reason to care-
“I don’t have anywhere else I need to be right now.”

Not for a single second did Ace think that he was serious; so when Sabo tugs open his coat and rummages through the inner pocket for what looks to be a very real ring, Ace’s mind grinds to a complete halt.
Chapter 2:
Heart sinking, Ace bows his head with the weight of his realization.
Sabo isn’t angry or embarrassed. He’s hurt.
And Ace is humbled by it, for he did indeed run the hell away from him that night as if Shitty Gramps had called his name from a mile off.
