Summary
Matt Murdock, one who once dreamt of having a family, is proven wrong.
An evening like many others, Matt stumbles upon someone in need. As a lawyer that believes in equality and truth, Matt takes the case. Little did the blind man know, this case may just be one in a million, unlike no other.
He finds himself fighting for a life that his client deserves, one not spent in the foster system, one spent in a forever home with people who care greatly for the child. Matt comes to learn about the child who he has become the lawyer of, though not willing to admit he has grown attached.
Matt leads himself on the path of a first time step-father/adoptive-father.

"Okay, kid, let's rewind a bit. First off, who the fuck—” “Language.” “—are they?!” Tony gestures around to the group of tied-up Villains. “And secondly, how the hell did you even manage to defeat them?!"
Peter looks around nervously, eyes darting around the room, carefully avoiding the Avengers' gazes. Has he done something wrong?
“Well… To answer that first question, they’re a group of villains who personally hate my guts. It sucks, I mean, what did I ever do to deserve a specialised supervillain strike team? What's a spider gotta do around here to get some peace?”
He chuckles anxiously, eyes flitting up to meet the teams’, hoping for laughs so he can get a reprieve from the tension that has begun to smother him. All he gets are the pointed looks of the heroes in front of him.
Natasha arches an eyebrow, “And the second question?”
“I just… did?”
Clint levels a look of incredulity at Peter, “You just did? You just defeated them? That’s all you did?”
“...Yes?”
Cap lets out a weary sigh.
OR: Some people forget Spider-Man is The Protector of New York™, and that he has been doing the job for a while.
OR, OR: I make Spider-Man OP. That’s it. That’s the plot.
