Summary
Prowl has been exiled from court and ordered to solve the mystery of the Rust Sea, which has been missing from the surface of Cybertron for longer than he's been alive.
Jazz is drowning on dry land on the other side of the world.
Once upon a time, before Jazz was born, the Rust Sea covered a swathe of Cybertron bigger than the territory of any city-state except Iacon. The sea had been more powerful than any engine besides the one at the heart of the planet itself, big enough to swallow a metrotitan in its depths, the birthplace of storms.
Thing is, none of that was Jazz. He doesn’t remember those days, before he was himself, except in his dreams.
And his dreams are terrifying.

Jazz was no less so and, said the many admirers he gained upon his maturity, perhaps even more. These admirers swiftly became many, and their admiration was drawn from the Prime. Sentinel was a jealous mech and he sent Prowl to infect the young mech with a virus that he may fall in love with something or someone hideous at first sight.

As if having to change his plans for the winter wasn't bad enough, now Jazz's transport crashed and he's stuck in the middle of a crystal forest in Primus-knows-where. He's lucky that he was rescued before he froze to deactivation. Unfortunately, the mech that did the rescuing is half-feral and rather unwilling to let him leave.

Summary
Jazz had never expected for one of his cousins and bonded to pass away one cold evening, leaving behind a pair of splitspark twins. He knew of them, had met them once or twice, but when the rest of his family began to pass them over and over again, he knew he need to step in.
The only problem is that his work is only willing to wait for so long. He needs to go back. He works weird hours.
He needs a babysitter.
Prowl hated that running was the only option he had. He needed to get away, but with his certifications to become an enforcers around the corner, he thought he could hold on. When push comes to shove, he knows he needs to start over. He has no credentials, his Academy credits won't transfer, and his skillset is incredibly limited.
He needs a job.
