Summary
The back of her hoodie is slashed. She can feel the wind on her skin—she shivers with it.
It's not right. It's not supposed to be felt there. Why—
Below cloth torn open by claws, there are light scratches—she had dodged almost in time to avoid the rips.
No no. They aren't supposed to see.
Her mind lingers there, focused on the wrongness of the air touching her there—
Not on a hunt, not where they can see.

Summary
Rumi moves Mira's legs down—letting her wrap them around Rumi's back—and then leans down and licks a bead of sweat that is running between her breasts. Mira shivers again, wanting wanting wanting.
Zoey speaks behind her, panting into her shoulder. "What's the number, baby? Or do we already have to start over?"
no
"Two, no no please."
Rumi lifts her chin a little, smiling at her, fangs glinting. "Good girl."

Summary
When they first turn to walk backstage, Mira thinks that things are okay. She's exhausted and probably bleeding somewhere, but her girls are with her, and she knows they have each other. She can't stop looking at them. But then Rumi is crying—tears of joy? She shares a concerned look with Zoey.
"Rumi?" She squeezes Rumi's hand as she says it. Rumi turns to look up at her, but it doesn't look like anything is really registering.
They make it almost backstage when Rumi's hands seem to slacken, her footsteps more and more unsteady. Without having to say it, both Zoey and her tighten their grips and speed up. Something isn't right. Rumi inhales suddenly, sharply.

My own version of what happens after the movie, but before the bathhouse scene, and maybe some after it. Leading up to polytrix.

She sleeps fitfully, waking again, this time hot.
She uncovers fully, but then the sweat makes her shiver, so she pulls the blanket back over.
Then, too hot.
Then, too cold.
On and off the blanket goes, maddeningly, until she has just almost found a half on and half off solution that leaves her somewhere in the middle, when she hears Mira clear her throat in the hallway, and then knock. No, it can't already be training time, is it? She checks the phone again—just after 7. Shit.

Summary
All demons came from human souls in one way or another, because the very creation of them required it. Something couldn't be created from nothing. An exchange had to take place, so if there wasn't a human to begin with? Something of equal value had to be destroyed instead.
Humans weren't made to give birth to demons.
Not like this.
Mi-yeong died when she was 24.
An exchange. A life for a life. A human for a demon. Mi-yeong for Rumi.
Celine does love Rumi, she does, but there's not much room for love when she's filled with so much grief.

Summary
After Gwi-Ma is sealed away, the new Honmoon blanketing the city in its protective embrace, the only thing Rumi wants to do is sleep.
Her body aches, her vision blurs, and her head throbs with the pain of a headache long ignored. The moment Mira and Zoey usher her offstage, away from the hundreds of thousands of fans, the adrenaline leaves her as fast as it came. She sags backward, stumbling over nothing but her exhaustion, and for a moment, she thinks that hitting the floor would be a welcome sensation.
———
The girls get Rumi home after the events of the Idol Awards, and then they have to deal with all of the shattered glass they had sung about.

Summary
“I asked Celine to kill me.”
Rumi doesn’t know what compelled her to say that. The sound of chopsticks clattering to the floor, though, stokes an immediate regret that urges her to get up and run.

Summary
“You okay?” Zoey asks, her hand wrapped around Rumi’s. Mira’s hands are braced at her opposite shoulder, keeping her arm steady, and ow— that’s where the demon must have got her. She winces around a sharp inhale.
“You’re okay,” Mira says, firm. “Go slow. I think it dislocated your shoulder on top of scratching you up. Ripped your sweatshirt too, sorry. I know you liked this one.”
It takes Rumi a moment to register what she said. Then, in a move that makes her head spike with a pain that almost takes out her vision entirely, her focus snaps to her arm.
The sleeve of her hoodie is slashed open and gaping. Her patterns are out, shining in the morning sunlight, vivid even through the blood.
She’s up and away before either of them can stop her.
***
The first time Rumi gets hurt after the Idol Awards, a head wound and shock means she forgets that her team now knows about her patterns— and old habits die hard.
