Now that he's looking for it, Yuuji can feel it: the words are etched into him, woven into his muscles and carved into his bones. Start by saving me, Itadori. Yuuji promised he would, so now he must.

The burning pain is starting to come back again. It begins in his chest this time, slightly to the right. Yuuji swallows, reaching up to press his hand against it.

So, he thinks dazedly, as the universe begins to take him apart. This is what happens when you break a Binding Vow.

    -

Megumi dies in Shinjuku. Yuuji is thrown back in time to save him. Again, and again, and again.

(Or: Yuuji says “I’ll save you, Fushiguro” and the universe says “bet.”)

“‘I need you to go.’ The words tasted like blood in his mouth. ‘Now.’

Thomas just stared at him. His hands curled into fists at his sides, his chest rising and falling too fast, but he didn’t move.

    And that was his mistake.”

Where Newt, succumbing to the Flare, struggles with his fading sanity in what he knows to be his last moments alive. In the midst of it all, his and Thomas’ hearts yearn for each other.

    Bookmarker's Notes

“tragic because it was always gonna end this way.” or “tragic because it didn't have to end this way” maybe its both in their own ways because they were legit one minute away from them and yet newt was condemned to his fate and to the flare if thomas hadn't shot him

A Hunger Games x Voltron Crossover

    𝘛𝘸𝘰 𝘋𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘵𝘴. 𝘖𝘯𝘦 𝘍𝘭𝘢𝘮𝘦.

When Keith Kogane steps off the reaping stage in District Twelve, he’s ready to burn alone. Silent, sharp-edged, and haunted by a past he won’t share, not even with his own mentor. He expects to die. He just wants to do it on his terms.

Then there’s Lance McClain. District Four’s golden boy. A Capitol favorite. All charm, smirks, and winks for the cameras. But behind the showman mask is a heart that refuses to harden, and a promise he’s desperate to keep.

Thrown into a frozen arena designed to break the body and bury the soul, Keith and Lance are forced into an uneasy alliance. What begins as strategy twists into something deeper, something dangerous. As the Capitol watches hungrily, they navigate blizzards, mutts, betrayal, and the ghosts they tried to leave behind.

But survival has a cost. And when the line between enemy and something more begins to blur, they’ll have to decide: is making it out alive the only way to win… or is surviving each other the real victory?

A slow-burn, high-stakes, emotional reimagining of The Hunger Games through the eyes of two boys from different worlds, caught in the fire together.
