Summary
"I do miss him," Akira admits softly, after a few minutes of nothing but an occasional hitched breath. From the watery sound of his voice, it's clear he's still crying. Something about it makes Ryuji's heart twist.
"That's cool, dude," Ryuji says, and then internally beats himself up for his total inability to say anything helpful. Akira must agree with his internal monologue, because they shake their head minutely against his chest.
"I was... I mean despite everything, I was always..." His voice catches and he takes a measured breath, self-soothing. "It's different. I'm still..."
"It's okay, man. I get it," Ryuji says, absolutely not getting it. But he squeezes Akira closer and rubs his shoulder and hopes it'll help and that he can't feel the rapid heartbeat pattering in Ryuji's chest.

Ryuji's got feelings for Akira, Akira's got feelings for Akechi, and Akechi's dead. Probably. Or he's in the produce aisle while Ryuji's just trying to get some groceries, because why wouldn't he be?

“Come on, Ren-kun,” Yukari nudges Ren as he slumps. “I dove into being Pink Argus with little experience myself, and I haven’t regretted it since. Maybe you’ll feel the same.”
Ren thinks about it. His life really couldn’t and shouldn’t revolve completely around the shadow world, he supposes. And he’s not obligated to do any more than this if acting doesn’t agree with him after all.
Ann’s going to freak. Futaba is going to lose her shit.
“You remember the Phantom Thieves of Hearts business a few years back?” The director asks. “It won’t be a complete one to one, but I do have to admit that this series’ plot is loosely based on it.”
Okay, now that’s just unfair. Now Ren has to take the role.
So that’s how Ren becomes a Featherman Ranger.
Or, Amamiya Ren becomes a Featherman actor, bases his character off Akechi, and the real Akechi Goro disastrously simps from afar.

She had not told him she was bringing food, so when she asked to come up, he reacted with his typical blinkered surprise. “For me? I’m honored, Makoto. But I cannot accept this. I’ve already done my groceries for the month. The expiration date on the meat is always a week beyond the printed label.”
“Make way,” she said, and pushed him aside.

She wondered what would have happened if her tastes hadn’t ended up aligning with what young ladies of money and status were encouraged to like. She wondered what would happen if she uprooted the primroses and pansies from the pots on her patio and planted wild climbing vines instead, roses that hadn’t had the sharp thorns bred out of them, bushes of cooking herbs, planters of hemlock and nightshade.

Summary
Makoto's mental health had never been good, but it was hard for her to believe how far gone she was just a few short days ago. She had truly reached her breaking point, and she shuddered to think what would've happened to her without the Thieves. Awakening to her Persona had cleared her head, but being clear just made it easier to see the monsters at the bottom of the lake. Monsters ready for her to fall off her new lifeboat, to tear her asunder when there's no one to help her. Still, she had to be strong. Her only path now was forward, side by side with her friends, praying as she walked that the monsters don't surface once more.
A rewrite of Makoto's confidant with a focus on her mental health, the traumatic reality of being a Phantom Thief, and why maybe it's all she ever needed.
