    Summary

Alexander Claremont-Diaz was twenty-eight years old when a car crash took his life.

The entire world grieved, and the entire world remembered.

But for some people, it wasn’t just a figurehead that died. It was a friend, a brother, a son. A husband. And remembering all of Alex was a hell of a task to undertake.

    ——

Or, how six people in Alex’s life work through his death.

    Summary

“They say Emrys tamed the great dragon of Camelot and sired the white dragon of Albion-”

“Sired?” Gwaine interrupted “This Emrys fellow is going around siring dragons? How exactly is that happening? Sex with other dragons?” He asked and despite the situation, Merlin flushed. The man in question blinked, looking equally baffled by the question. From the corner of his eye, Merlin could see Arthur pinching the bridge of his nose.

    “Uh…I actually don’t know.”

“But you’re Emrys,” Merlin reminded the imposter with a sigh “You don’t remember siring any dragons?”

“I said it was an off day!” The man complained, trying to cross his arms despite being upside down. Merlin took a long breath. Lancelot had already walked away, but that did nothing to hide his howling laughter.

    Or

The knights keep hearing various (dramatic) rumors about the great and mighty Emrys. Everyone is such a gossip. Merlin is trying not to have a heart attack. Lancelot is loving life.

    Summary

“Come here,” Sherlock said and when he did, he put his arm across John’s shoulder, and pulled him close. John let him, and after a moment, rested his head against Sherlock’s chest. Sherlock felt the familiar ache, a longing for what might have been. If only he’d been braver, more sure of John’s feelings. He dropped his arms and stepped back. It was too late. Things were as they were meant to be.

But it was autumn in Sussex, and everything was changing.

    Summary

“Do I look like I’m kidding?”

She does not look like she’s kidding, but this is going too far, even for her. “Jessica, you can’t tell me what to do with my social life.”

One perfectly manicured eyebrow shoots up. “I can when your lack of discretion hurts my business. I don’t care who it is, I don’t even care if you like them. But if you’re at an event on firm time, you better have someone by your side.”

The hard flint of her eyes tells him she’s not backing down. Because this isn’t about Geoff Humphries and his busybody wife, not really. This is about proving she can still control him. More punishment for Gerald Tate, for not hiring an associate—

Hey, wait. Now that’s an idea.
