She turns her gaze away from the dark water to the crow’s nest. The lookout jabs their finger towards the dense fog ahead where the island—if it’s big enough to be called that—steadily emerges. To any other ship sailing by, it would be disregarded as merely a sign of a larger landmass nearby, if noticed at all. To any other captain, it would not be a reason to drop anchor.
She smirks and huffs out a quiet laugh.
Puffy is not any other captain.

Ever since she found her old ship beached in a far corner of the Dream SMP, Captain Puffy has been having vivid flashbacks of adventures from a time before TNT and grieving nations, before eggs and betrayal.

“There has to be something,” Trent muttered, furiously scrolling through his feed. Each suggestion he found was debunked by the next post, with many parents swearing up and down that certain techniques made the whole thing worse. Trent stopped on a video of a mother taking scissors to her daughter’s curls and bit down on an actual sob building in the back of his throat.
It was right before Trent let it fly that his mobile rang.

Trent couldn’t say what possessed him to answer with his throat thick and his eyes prickling, but his traitorous hand had already swiped while his mouth said, “I have to shave my head.”
Or: 5 times Ted got to touch Trent's hair and one time he returned the favor.

And Gillion understood. He did, he knew what this was, he understood the miscalculation he’d made, and he knew that Chip wouldn’t hurt him, that the worst he’d do was taunt him before letting him go, that this was just a way for him to prove that he’d well and truly won.
But he couldn’t help the freezing.
He was on his back, and he’d been turned so quickly that his brain couldn’t quite catch up, and he thought he might still be spinning, and he couldn’t help the locking up of his muscles, forcefully relaxing against his will, leaving him unable to writhe or push or get Chip off of him.

Or: Gillion has experienced tonic immobility before. He just didn’t think that it would be so much worse on land.
