Summary
John left the war with a mess of a shoulder and no leg, but that doesn't really affect him much later on. it wasn't something that Sherlock brought to attention, but they both knew. The yard did not. (Pretty much John throws his prosthetic at a murderer and that's how Greg finds out he didn't have a leg.)
Idk how accurate this is because I don't have a prosthetic, but I wrote it more for comedy than anything. Loosely inspired by that one guy who was with his wife when someone tried to mug them so he hit him with his cane or prosthetic. Don't know if anyone knows what I'm talking about.

Summary
Arthur Pendragon didn't go looking for the prophecy of the Once and Future king, but when a stranger pushes it into his lap he can't let go. Who the hell is Emrys, and why would a sorcerer help him in the first place?
Meanwhile Merlin would follow his king anywhere, and he has. He could never bring himself to regret following Arthur that day, but he would always wonder how different life could have been if he had somehow convinced him to just go home.
Tortured peasant boys don't make good Gods, and the consequences have the potential to change the world - if he could only escape the Sarrum long enough to try.
or: The one where Emrys is a God and doesn't know it, Arthur pushes until he breaks, Sarrum is evil and Merlin never wanted any of this to happen. Mordred's just happy to be here.

Late season two (Set technically in universe of my rewrite-- this only really shows up bc I mention Seraphaura (Aphmau) like twice but she doesn't actually show up and I tried to keep the whole thing as non plot related as humanly possible.)
