“No, it’s fine, I just—” Bob’s gaze shifted back and forth on the floor like he wasn’t sure what to say. Like he was planning for a lie rather than deciding how to word his genuine explanation. “I just wanted to suck you off.”

Bob couldn’t believe it was finally happening. For months he had yearned for this, spent nights silently begging the universe for this, and now the first move had been made, the line had been crossed, and he was about to have it – about to have you. Now he just hopes he doesn’t fuck it up. He wants to make you feel good, wants to prove to you that he can be good enough, and worries that if he doesn’t then you’ll regret this and never want to even look at him again. ‘Can’t you just shut the fuck up for once?’ he berates himself mentally as his thoughts drift further away from the present moment and dig deeper into his insecurities. ‘Get out of your head, be a man, and focus on fucking her. Don’t fucking blow this.’
But things don't go as he had hoped, and he ends up being more vulnerable with you than he has with anyone else.

There is a cabin where the Thunderbolts kept Bob, as a way to keep him safe and those safe around him. Each Thunderbolt takes a turn to stay a month with Bob at said cabin. One to look after him, and two to have a week away from the craziness of being an Avenger. It's supposed to work for everyone, except keeping someone cooped up, is never good. The newest Avenger stays with Bob, and things get a little complicated between them.

“Shh,” Bob whispers again. “Just relax, John.”
He does. He can’t help it. He’s fucking melting into the bed like Bob’s touch is magic, all of his thoughts dissipating in the sensation.
“That’s it,” Bob continues. His touch grows firmer – thumb rubbing circles into the knots in John’s shoulder. “Just relax. You’re doing good.”
The whimper that comes out of John’s mouth is entirely involuntary and incredibly embarrassing.
“Just like that,” Bob murmurs as if John hasn’t made a noise. “I’ve got you. You’re doing so good.”
It’s – he’s – John’s fucking burning up inside. He feels so warm. Doesn’t know whether to leave – to flee from whatever the fuck Bob’s words are doing to him, injury be damned – or to press back into the touch, to lean into the comfort and soak up these scraps he’s being offered.
