Summary
Hidden in the corner of Alhaitham's study, Kaveh notices a new addition to the scribes ever growing collection of knick knacks he calls 'art'. This is the only purchase to fit that has fit that description however. It's an elegant slab of patterned wood that' s littered with two toned miniatures. It's certainly interesting, but the purpose confuses the architect.
Alhaitham cures that confusion, and teaches him a new game that is built for two.

He opens his mouth to fire back a snide rejoinder, realizes she’s right, and holds his tongue instead. Summary
Kaveh starts a garden, right outside the window his drafting desk faces.
At first, it’s not much. A few sprouts here and there, and a few flowers he managed to convince Tighnari to let him transplant. Tighnari had offered to help, but Kaveh, stubbornly as ever, had refused, saying this was something he needed to do on his own.
(Tighnari has the kindness not to ask if it’s really gardening that’s on Kaveh’s mind.)
