Summary
Jeon Jungkook is used to being the best. He’s the captain, the reigning MVP, and the player everyone watches. So when Park Jimin joins the Seoul Stallions and immediately starts turning heads, breaking records, and proving himself on the ice, Jungkook can’t fucking stand him.
There’s something about Jimin that gets under his skin, and Jungkook can’t seem to figure out exactly what it is. Maybe it’s the way the rookie keeps challenging him without even trying. Maybe it’s the way everyone seems to like him. Or maybe it’s the fact that, no matter how hard Jungkook tries to ignore him, he keeps finding himself watching.
Whatever it is, Jungkook is determined to prove one thing.
Park Jimin will never take his place.

Summary
Jungkook's finally escaped his awful small town, his awful home, his awfully lonely existence since his best friend had to leave—he's even found him again, in the city. He's settling into his new life. Sure, his apartment is small, sure, his boss is a dick, but he's with Jimin again, and that's all that matters.
Except Jimin is with someone, and it's getting harder and harder to pretend Jungkook's okay with that.
Still, he will. For Jimin. He'd do anything for Jimin.

"Before we go any further," Jimin said calmly, "there's something important we need to establish. I should have mentioned this earlier, but…" He paused, thumb tracing the shell of Jeongguk's ear. "I want to introduce the traffic light system. Do you know what that is?"
Jeongguk ran his tongue out to wet his bottom lip. "Like red to stop?"
"Green means you're good, everything feels okay, and I should keep going," Jimin explained patiently. "Yellow means slow down or pause, when something's too much, or you need a break. And red means stop everything immediately. No questions asked. Understand?"
"Yeah," Jeongguk whispered, remembering he liked verbal confirmation. "I understand."
"Good boy." Jimin smiled softly. "What colour are we at now?"
"Green." The word came out breathless. "So green. Please—"

Jimin brushed the tears off his face. “Maybe you can give me a kiss now and another one when we’re done.”
Jungkook laughed. “No, you’ll earn your kiss at the end.”
Jimin pouted, but the diversion had worked. He was no longer crying.
“Deal,” Jimin said. “If I make it through the tattoo, I get a kiss.”
