She stopped at the edge of the black smoke, tilting her head down and squeezing her eyes shut with all the energy she could muster. All of a sudden, as if there was a giant hand forcing her mouth open, a thick, tar-like, substance spilled out of her lips. That wasn't right. Wasn't it usually green? More screams followed all at the same time, thousands begging, wailing, whispering, pleading before they all joined together in order to sing as one:

Nico di Angelo is used to being a ghost. He’s used to fading away, to rotting from the inside out, and to the crushing walls of a bronze jar. He’s certainly used to being alone. But three days in the infirmary with Will Solace—the first guy who actually seems to want him around—changes his perspective.
Will is tired of being the sun. He’s tired of being the one responsible for holding everybody together. However, once Nico comes back from battle and starts staying at camp, Will knows he can’t let Nico slip from his fingers again.
