Summary
For instance, if one were to ask Eddie how Buck ends up sitting on the toilet lid while he’s having a shower, he wouldn’t know how to answer.
“Buck!” He shrieks when hearing the bathroom door open wide. They have seen each other naked on more than one occasion but this feels different, maybe on account of Eddie’s feelings, maybe because it doesn’t feel that weird, after all.
“Oh, come on,” Buck retorts undeterred, sitting on the closed toilet and clicking his pen with a nervous thumb again and again. “It’s not like I’m in the shower with you!”
Eddie scoffs, even if his cheeks heat up (he’s sure they are beet red) so he can pretend to be annoyed but he knows the truth. “'Cause that would be perfectly normal,” mutters, while he’s lathering his chest.
Buck shuts him up with a flick of his hand, even though Eddie can’t see him. “Eddie, this is serious.”
Eddie teaches Buck Spanish, accidentally calls him cariño and ends up kissing him about it.

Summary
The exit is so close. The fire is closing in, the walls groaning under the weight of their own destruction. The heat presses at their backs, relentless, unyielding.
And still, Eddie looks back.
He falters, just for a second. Just long enough to turn, to check, to make sure Buck is still with him.
And that’s when it happens.
Inspired by Orpheus and Eurydice, in which there is no Buck who does not follow, and no Eddie who does not look back.

Which, if he really thinks about it, is how it had always been. He’d be doing good, really good, and then something, sometimes barely anything, would get him on edge again.
From there, it was unstoppable. It started as an itch. The feeling and need unrecognizable… until it wasn’t. Until he ended up back on the bathroom tile with a sliver of metal in his hand.

Summary
“Asked me if I was the Chinese food delivery guy on my first day.” Chim contributed in a whisper, like he was afraid Buck might wake up and hear. Maybe he felt disloyal admitting it now. It was no secret to anyone paying attention how much Chim loved Buck, even if he often pretended to be exasperated with him.
Hen nodded solemnly. “One of the many people who wouldn’t even acknowledge me when I started.”
It was news to Eddie, and apparently Ravi too, but not Cap, who resolutely stared down at the table in front of him, shaking his head.
“Oh, so he fucking sucks.” Ravi contributed casually, never one to pull punches with his thoughts.
No one responded, but the agreement was in the air.
