“She did a whole villain monologue, and you still didn’t pay attention?” She waved off Emma, rolling as she dodged a purple blast. “Yeah, yeah. Anyways, is this the person creating those weird missing persons cases?” “If you haven’t been paying attention when I told you, the answer is still yes, dipshit.” “She’s the weird one, don’t they come back after like 5 days or something?” “We still don’t know the extent of her powers, Zareena.”
Her baba ducked out of the way of another blast, vanishing the car: “Well, whatever it is, she’s not the fucking best at her abilities.” The villain looked deeply insulted, “I’ll have you know, I am a top notch witch! I’m great with time.” She started to throw more of her purple bolts, as the two fire heroes flew out of the way, ducking and dodging, before she hit them both with one big bolt. The last words out of Ember’s mouth was, “Send reinforcements, send reinforc-“ before everything cut to static.
Or the mouth on fire heroes really ought to be watched, because this time they got sent to the past.

Summary
The bustle of the city was nothing compared to the end of the day, when he and his cat sat side by side, sunlight beaming down on him. The Ootori family business kept the young heir busy, but he found time for his cat, even if it meant he had to send her to a cat daycare. His lips twisted in a subtle smirk, observing the other cats, just like one of the workers.
Her braided hair was neat and intricate, abnormal for someone with so little time like her. The cats sat in their little corners, a group, but still far apart. Her apron was neat, unnaturally clean for someone who handles animals, although cats keep themselves fairly clean.
It almost reminded him of the Host Club, although he has to admit none of them would be as smart as their cat counterparts. A brown tabby sat next to a pale yellow cat, and he could see Haruhi and Tamaki, though he supposed that the cat had more brain cells than him, and Toko-kun (the cat) was wearing a cone.

Like apparently, sleep with him.”
“Are you going to hide it?” “Maybe?” Dylla shook her head, “Well, were you in a relationship with him…?” “Well…it’s complicated? I mean we’re sorta friends, but not really, it…was uh…” “I’m a grown woman. Y’all were friends with…benefits.” She flushed at such crude wording as Dylla laughed, the timer going off. Yuu took it out, drawing it away from her face opening one eye to peer at it.
“...Shit.”

Summary
For as useless as dwelling on the past was, there were many wrongs Elliot wishes he could correct. Wish he saw coming, calculated better, choices he shouldn't have made. His past relationship with one Robert "Robbie" Robertson the second was filled with mistakes.
Mistakes he made. Mistakes he should have seen. Mistakes he can't go back and correct. And yet... he can't bring himself to regret ever going into it.
Cause through that idiotic fuck of a bastard, he got his pride and joy. His son. His Robert.
(Mecha Man was a danger to his son. He would not let it hurt him again.)

Robert Robertson the third wasn't real.
Sure, he looked real. Looked human.
He could speak and touch and do everything a regular normal person could. He wasn't extraordinary, no powers, no impressive physical prowess. He was the definition of an ordinary man.
Except that he was Mecha Man.
Oh, and he wasn't a man at all. He was The Astral Pulse, his father's greatest scientific achievement.

A study in autonomy, personhood, humanity, and how having shitty narcissistic parents that see you as nothing but a tool can fuck someone up well into adulthood.
Well let's hope a band of stubborn misfit ex-villains can help with sorting out that last one.
