Circe loves in a way that some might consider extreme, but what she doesn't know is that the Olympian messenger loves in the same way. For her, it was love at first sight. Hermes needed a little more time, but they both came to the same conclusion: They must be together, and anyone who dares to interfere will suffer the consequences. Half-hearted love was never any fun, especially for the gods.

At least, it should have been.

When the kings of Greece come to conscript Odysseus for the Trojan War, Penelope of Ithaca knows one thing: she will not lose her husband to war, and she will not let her son be used to take him. In a desperate attempt to save her family, Penelope offers herself to the war effort in Odysseus's place.
Penelope is whisked away to Troy with her army, and a devastated Odysseus is left to raise his infant son alone. Even when the war ends, their trials do not. Penelope faces gods and monsters while Odysseus struggles to rule Ithaca and protect himself and his son from the malevolent suitors seeking his hand.
Essentially, the plot of EPIC, but Penelope and Odysseus's places are switched, and the Ithaca side of the plot is quite a bit darker.

This is my version of ‘EPIC: The Musical’. It includes cut songs, cut verses, fan songs, fan verses, and mashups of cut and final songs. In parentheses there will be the actions of the characters, which I added after being inspired to do so by ObiWanKenobiObsessed’s story ‘His Journey Home’, which I highly recommend reading. Polites walks away from the Cyclops cave. Eurylochus doesn't. Will it matter in the end? Will things have changed? Or does it even matter that the end is the end, that the fated path will force their way onto it, when maybe, somehow, there's still a little less suffering in the middle? Must a change be grandiose for it to matter, or do the small hours and little moments make the same journey a little easier to bear no matter where they end up? Does the love that's there change anything at all, no matter how small?

Summary
Because I am sad that in the actual story, Eurylochus never makes it home to his own wife, I decided to make a universe where he does! Then I also decided to throw Polites into the mix because why not?
Following their victory in the Trojan War, it would seem that misfortune is determined to follow Odysseus and his men wherever they go, until eventually, after surviving multiple dangers, only to raise the anger of the gods and get the entire rest of the crew killed, Odysseus, Eurylochus and Polites find themselves stranded on Calypso's Island, with no way (and therefore no hope) of getting back home...up until around seven years later.

Summary
Odysseus has reincarnated, chasing after Penelope who had been kidnapped by the Fates themselves to fulfil an unknown task. He hopes to meet her again at Camp Half-Blood and renew their love. He never imagined having to repeat his Odyssey. At least Penelope is with him this time.
Penelope has managed to stay in school the entire year and not get expelled. But her summer gets off to a terrible start when someone poisons Thalia's tree and the Camp barrier begins to fail. She has problems to solve and no time for hangers-on, no matter how useful. I mean, if you're afraid of the ocean, don't volunteer for a quest that requires sailing!

"Ordinary Bard at your service!" He added with a bow, placing one hand over his chest, the other behind his back as he placed one of his leg behind the other.
