"He had lost against Leon countless times and even if it stung every time, felt like a punch in the gut and a concrete blanket on top of him that pushed the air from his lungs, he could barely imagine how Leon would be feeling right now. There had been a sense of desperation in his eyes last night, a ship lost at sea with no beacon to guide it. He was worried it would crash into the nearest cliffs. So he would just do his best for now to steer him into safer waters, even if that was just by returning Leon’s kitchen to the way he knew it to usually be, by making sure there was coffee and breakfast ready when Leon woke up eventually and by avoiding mentioning things that neither of them would know how to navigate properly."
