Taissa raised an eyebrow. “How do I know you?”
The woman paused, something akin to flattery crossing her face. “Do you?”
“Yes,” Taissa muttered, eyebrows creased like the act of not remembering was personally offensive. “You’re…” She trailed off, confusing herself further.
“Rebecca Welton,” Jackie’s voice rang out. “You own AFC Richmond.”
Rebecca blinked. “...Right. Well. As I was saying,” She said, eyes running over each of them in a way that made Nat bristle. “I’m…putting together a team—”
“Justice League,” Van nodded immediately, receiving a sharp elbow to the side from Taissa.
“A women’s team,” Rebecca corrected, still looking like she was caught between amusement and bewilderment (and, if Nat was honest, the woman looked a little intimidated). “And I was…hoping…that it would be…well, you all.”
Or: The Yellowjackets win Nationals. Now, they have to brave a different wilderness: whatever the fuck compelled Rebecca Welton to haul their asses to England. At least it's not Canada!

Summary
As she sits out there in the cold, her skin tingling with the leftover adrenaline and eyes stinging from the tears that won’t come out, Jackie thinks vaguely of Julius Caesar. While the rest of the class groaned at the assigned reading, Jackie had always secretly enjoyed the play, the idea of betrayal, the idea of power. Everyone turning on each other just for a chance at something bigger than them, the way a crowd is so easily swayed by the best speaker. Jackie thought it fascinating, the balance between fate and free will, the fickleness of public favor. But now, sitting on a log outside the cabin, exiled by the one person who means anything to her, Jackie thinks only of the tragedy. The tragedy isn’t their circumstances, it’s them. Jackie would always be this person, Shauna would always grow to hate her, and--plane crash or no plane crash--Jackie would always end up here. The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves.
Or: Jackie stands the fuck up and takes some initiative. For Javi, if no one else.

He starts a little as he registers Dana standing beside him, in the same silver dress she always wears to these things (she says it’s comfortable and looks good, and she just slightly changes her hair and accessories each time). She’s holding two drinks, and hands him one.
‘What?’ He forgets about his ‘no more drinking till after the speech’ plan and takes a sip.
‘You wanted to know why our prodigal son changed his mind, there’s your answer right there’ says Dana, wryly. ‘Look at him. She’s got him wrapped around her little finger’.
Langdon refuses to go the fundraiser. Until Mel asks him to. Robby had no idea something was brewing between them. Until Dana pointed it out.
