Jess can't keep track of all the creams, the brushes, the pursed lips Greta makes at herself as she studies her reflection.
"What's the point of what?" Greta returns. She doesn't turn around, choosing instead to keep her eyes on herself, but she lets her gaze drift to catch Jess' eyes in the mirror. "Of makeup?"

As much as Charlie wanted to hate Nick (and boy did he want to), he couldn’t get past the fact that he was also so stupidly attractive.
And it’s not like Nick had ever actually done anything to warrant Charlie’s ire. His pen had exploded on the first day of classes and got all over both of them, but he’d been incredibly apologetic and offered to pay for whatever services were needed to clean Charlie’s jumper.
Or, Charlie can't decide if he wants to fight Nick or kiss Nick.

Charlie had become almost mythical to him. The only times Charlie was free to hang out with Tara and Darcy was when Nick was otherwise engaged. He had to go home for his mum’s birthday, he had a date (which never ended well), he got food poisoning. Nick began to wonder if Charlie actually existed.
Except he knew Charlie existed because he’d seen photos. He would never admit it to his friends, but the first time he saw Charlie, he had to take a minute to reboot. It was a blurry selfie on Darcy’s instagram story, her and Charlie clearly drunk on a night out. Nick had been holed up with the flu, living vicariously through his friends’ photos, when he saw it.
Or, Nick finally meets Charlie at Tara and Darcy's bachelorette party and the stars do, in fact, align.
